The 5G network expansion started in the United States in 2019. In this article, we will inform you about the latest 5G phones to buy in 2021.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G

The first foldable smartphone from Samsung is also capable of 5G – but with a price of around $999 to $1,449, it is not exactly negotiated. You can open Samsung Galaxy Fold like a book and benefit from its huge screen on which you can use several apps at the same time. Nevertheless, the Galaxy Fold fits comfortably in your pocket.

If you want to call a piece of the future your own today, the Galaxy Fold 5G is the best choice. In the meantime, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Flip in a cheaper form, which does not provide 5G.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G

The Galaxy S20 Ultra not only comes up with an impressive 108-megapixel camera but also with support for fast 5G cellular communications. It is one of the most powerful smartphones currently on the market, and with a screen diagonal of almost 7 inches, it is truly large. A triple camera with an additional 3D depth sensor is used on the back, with which even videos in breathtaking 8K resolution are possible.

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G

Are you looking for a comparatively cheap entry into the 5G world? Then you should take a closer look at the Galaxy A90. It has a 6.7 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. A Snapdragon 855 and 6 GB of RAM ensure a brisk work pace at all times, while the triple camera on the back allows great snapshots.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

One of the first 5G smartphones made is the Galaxy S10 5G, which was released in 2019.  With the Galaxy S10 5G, you can’t just be among the first to test the new standard. You can also benefit from a technically upgraded version of Samsung’s current flagship. The Galaxy S10 5G has a 3D camera on the front and back, which the standard models do not have. The internal memory has a capacity of 256 GB, and the battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh.

Huawei Mate 20X 5G

The Huawei Mate 20X is also available in a 5G version. The oversized, 7.2-inch display has a somewhat low resolution of 2,244 x 1,080 pixels. Huawei has installed a 40 MP camera, a 20-megapixel wide-angle camera, and an 8 MP telephoto lens on the back.

The front lens has a resolution of 24 MP. The current flagship Kirin 980 chip, supported by 8 GB of RAM, is used as the CPU. The storage capacity is 256 GB. In contrast to many other high-end Smartphones these days, the Huawei Mate 20X still has an audio jack.

LG V50 ThinQ 5G and LG V60 ThinQ

The first 5G Smartphone from LG is called the LG V50 ThinQ and was also presented at MWC 2019. The 6.4-inch model is powered by a Snapdragon 855 with 6 GB of RAM, and the 4,000 mAh battery will provide enough energy for the fast cellular standard.

It is also interesting to be able to add a second screen to the LG V50 ThinQ with a kind of protective cover. However, the 5G variant of the Smartphone is not yet available in some countries. In the meantime, another 5G Smartphone has been presented, which is also not however available: the LG V60 ThinQ.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G

In 2019, Samsung managed to bring two smartphones with 5G onto the market. The 5G version of the Note 10 Plus should appear in August. An Exynos 9825 from Samsung works as the processor in the device. 12 GB of RAM are available for this.

The storage capacity is 256 GB or 512 GB and can be expanded using a microSD card. There is a triple camera on the back. The battery has a capacity of 4,300 mAh and a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen.

Motorola Edge

With the Motorola Edge and the Edge +, Motorola is back in the flagship segment, whereby the normal Edge corresponds more to the upper-middle class. Inside, a Snapdragon 765G with an integrated 5G modem does its job, which is supported by 6 GB of RAM. The 4,500 mAh battery should ensure a decent runtime; the internal memory has a capacity of 128 GB and is expandable. Buyers can look forward to an almost pure Android experience in version 10. The Motorola Edge is available in stores at a price of nearly $699.
