The more we continue enjoying the benefits of technological advances, perhaps most of us ask, will it save humanity or will it destroy us? Modern-day technology has proven to be efficient in our work by providing us better solutions such as quick identification of problems and how to solve them. Besides, technology has made our lives easier, faster, better, and even more fun.
However, technology is slowly taking over our lives and therefore bringing along some risks.
- It is affecting people’s sleeping habits.
- Leaves most people feeling isolated
- Enhancing an inactive lifestyle
- Causing distractions
- Causes nerve pains
- Shorter attention span.
We cannot deny that through technology, life has become easier. However, it’s the same technology that has outdone our ethical and legal values and social standards in the world. Technology takes up human roles, especially through Artificial intelligence used in hospitals and even in our justice systems, to identify people’s mistakes.
Given the pros and cons of technology, it may neither destroy us nor save the world because it is like a tool that can either be used to produce positive results and at the same time negative ones.
Ultimately, the major concern should be, what are you using technology for? Is it for the good of the world?
