Compared to Spring 2020, we have an obvious lack of anime in Summer 2020.
But we do have some very interesting titles.
Let’s talk about them.

10-Mr Love: Queen’s Choice

This anime is the adaption of a game, and even though there’s “mystery” and “Sci-Fi” in the genre. The anime isn’t very complex, I’d say weird is a better word.
The story goes like this, a girl inherits a company from her father who is now dead.
However, the company is nearly bankrupt and it’s up to her to do something about it.
In the middle of it all, she comes across four different guys with distinct traits.
With their help, how will she get the company back on its feet?
9-Peter grill to Kenja no Jikan
Genre: Harem, Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy
Episodes: ?

The main character named Peter Grill is the clear indication of how being a harem anime protagonist isn’t always all fun and games.
Known for being the world’s strongest fighter, what he seeks isn’t strength or fame or anything like that.
All he wants is to get closer to his girlfriend Luvelia. Overall, you can say that he is living a very good life.
Until the day, fate plays its hand and he realizes just how many fantasy girls want to have his seed. Because, you know, he is the world’s strongest fighter.
Now, this anime is a huge hit or miss, mostly miss, for many people. But you can’t ignore the fact just how interesting it is.
The guy is so loyal to his girlfriend that it’s almost sad to see him in bed with all those other girls.
8-Monster Musume no Oishasan
Genre: Comedy, Romance, Ecchi, Fantasy

The main character of this anime has a very interesting occupation. He is a 17 year old doctor named Dr. Glenn.
But unlike other doctors, he specialize in treating monster girls.
Even his assistant is a monster girl.
And as you guys all know, whenever monster girls are involved, things can get very weird pretty fast.
Dr. Glenn has to perform some spooky tasks to help the monster girls with whatever medical condition they are going through. And it definitely doesn’t help when the girls are constantly moaning while you are just trying to examine their fins.
That’s right, watch this anime if you want to hear and see some monster girls moan.
7-Dokyuu Hentai HxEros
Genre: Action, Comedy, Supernatural, Ecchi, School, Shounen
Episodes: 12

Nothing beats the thrill of watching some cute anime school girls using their erotic power to defeat the very monster that is trying to devour their natural sexual desire.
And that’s basically what this anime is about.
We have four different cute main girls, there is also a male main character, but let’s just ignore him for now.
These girls go around defeating these supernatural creatures that can somehow devour your bed desires and they do it using some kind of a device called HxEros that enhances their strength based on their erotic power.
I’d say watch this anime if you enjoy a supernatural ecchi comedy.
6-Uzaki chan wa asobitai
Genre: Slice of Life, Comedy, Ecchi

This is the fourth Ecchi anime in a row.
Coincidently, this anime also caused some massive uproars on twitter. And unless you have been living under a rock, you know what I mean.
The plot goes like this, a guy named Shinichi loves peace and silence.
However, his smug underclassman Uzaki chan would never let him live his one and only life in peace. I repeat, never.
Whenever he least expects her, she pops up with a smug face.
This anime is clearly for people who enjoyed “Skilled Teaser Takagi”
5-Deca dence
Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Adventure
Episodes: 12
Dub: Yes
On the surface, this anime might seem like a jumble of all sorts of clichéd anime concepts.
But that’s one thing that it’s not.
This anime is about a post-apocalyptic world where the few humans left use unconventional means to survive. Together with some jaw-breaking visuals and fluid animation. This anime is quite good.
As for the main characters, we have an optimistic girl who has high hopes for the future.
And we also have a realist who knows that the world is as good as done.
4-Kanojo Okarishimasu
Genre: Comedy, Romance, School, Shounen
Episodes: 12
Dub: Yes
Every anime fan who used youtube in the last six months has definitely come across one of these PVs where a mediocre looking guy is explaining his relationship with an S tier beauty.
There are four of these girls and so are the number of pre visuals.
And as for his relationship with the main female lead Mizuhara Chizuru…it’s pretty complicated.
In short, you can say that he rents her to get rid of his pathetic loneliness and to flex on his friends and family.
3-The Misfit at the demon king academy
Genre: Action, Demons, Magic, Fantasy, School
Episodes: 13

There has been a massive outrage of overpowered protagonists in the last few years. And 2020 is no different, we have Anos Voldigoad.
A man so powerful, he can literally kill you with just his heartbeat.
He is the reincarnation of the Demon King of Tyranny that reigned 2000 years ago.
And now that the world is more peaceful than it ever was, demons are supposed to go the demon king academy. But when Anos takes the evaluation exam, he gets labeled as a Misfit.
Hence the name, misfit at the demon king academy.
The name of this anime also sounds a bit similar to “The irregular at magic high school” doesn’t it?
2-The god of high school
Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Adventure, Comedy, Supernatural, Martial Arts, Fantasy
Episodes: 13

Probably the most hyped anime of summer 2020 (excluding the sequels)
There is a fighting tournament to seek out the strongest high school student in the entirety of Korea. Whoever comes out on top, can get any wish granted.
The main character Jin Mori is the grandson of a Taekando specialist and all he wants is to go up against strong people and get even stronger.
The plot itself isn’t that much of a stretch. However, the animation is the real strength of this show. The studio really outdid itself, didn’t it?

1-Great pretender

Every season there is a new unexpected anime that somehow gets overlooked by the masses.
Great Pretender is one of those anime.
The story revolves around a group of con artists who go around scamming filthy rich people. And it’s downright incredible.
You can almost feel the pressure coming out of the screen during all those awkward negotiations.
I’d say, if there is one anime that you take away from this post, it has to be this one. Wit studio is the one who animated it. And they did a job befitting of their name.
