Regardless of the change in the looks and sounds of the game, the essence of the game still remains the same. Bluepoint did their best to keep the remake feels as close as it possibly can to the original.
From the start of the game, you will have to choose from various classes of character like Magicians, priests, hunters, or knights. The stats and items may be a bit daunting to figure out at the start if you are new to this game. But this is what makes this game so special.
Unlike many other games that you can casually play and spend your time on, demon’s souls will make you sweat with its extreme difficulty.
Most of the basic guidance will be given to you. Like how to attack, how to roll or block, and other basic combats. But after that, you are on your own.
There are no maps, no quest logs, or anything else. So, you can choose to play the game in a style that suits you the most. In addition to that, the weaknesses of the enemies are not easily seen. So, you will have to figure it out all by yourself while fighting them.
You will play as a warrior who has come to the kingdom that is now overrun by powerful demonic forces and fogs. After you are slain, you will find your self in the game nexus. From here you will be able to enter different levels.
Even if the levels are separate, you will be able to find elements like swords or rings on one level that will help you out on another.
