Black Clover is one of the most popular shounen anime that started airing in 2017 and was able to grasp the fans attention with ease. The story is about two orphan boys named Asta and Yuno who were left at the same church in the outskirts of clover kingdom. People here have some sort of extraordinary power but unfortunately the protagonist wasn’t lucky enough.
There are few aspects of this anime which I simply can’t hate. One of the things which I love is that Black Clover is somewhat similar to Naruto. Asta was born with no magical powers in the world where almost everyone has these awesome powers but this didn’t let our beloved protagonist down just like Naruto who also did not give up. He is full of hope and enthusiasm giving watchers a ray of hope that no matter the odds, one should always strive for the best! Another thing that I love is that there are not a lot of filler episodes even though it is airing since 2017. According to one source, there are only 9 reported filler episodes out of 141 which means the anime contains a mere 6% of filler content. This is pretty impressive for a long running anime!
Moreover, the characters are pretty cool which gives us a reason to watch this badass anime. I really like the personality of Yuno because he isn’t shy of using his power for good and he looks like a mysterious person as if he has some dark motive. On the other hand, Asta has a relaxing aura that helps to motivate his friends when things are not going well. He can be a relatable character sometimes when he acts like a loser. Overall, I love the characters in Black clover as all of them are balanced in terms of powers but of course things do get hot when action is needed.
However, there are things that I don’t like regarding Black Clover. The infamous animation quality could be said to be average or below average in some parts which might be a major deal breaker for those who prefer attack on titan like animation and thinking to try this magical anime. I don’t really hate black clover’s animation but when comparing this shounen with other anime, the answer is obvious and people’s hate towards the poor animation quality can be easily justified.
Poor Animation
When I started watching Black Clover, I didn’t expect it to be a typical shounen anime and to my dismay, it turned to be an ordinary shounen. While there is no problem with this, it can be disappointing for those who have high expectations because there is not any distinguishing feature.
In conclusion, Black clover is a masterpiece and I enjoy watching it but sometimes animation can be a pain to watch with its average quality animation. This anime is perfect for those who want to get into shounen world without watching filler content and want to enjoy some magic.
